Position Summary

The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field operations across multiple electrical construction projects. This role provides leadership to Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards, specifications, and codes.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations & Leadership

  • Oversee multiple electrical projects simultaneously across various job sites

  • Direct and support Project Superintendents, Foremen, and field staff

  • Establish and enforce field productivity standards and best practices

  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to field leadership

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations

  • Conduct jobsite safety audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented

  • Promote a strong safety culture and accountability at all levels

  • Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and project specifications

Scheduling & Productivity

  • Work with Project Managers to develop and maintain project schedules

  • Monitor manpower, productivity, and labor forecasting

  • Assist with manpower planning and crew allocation across projects

  • Identify risks to schedules and implement corrective strategies

Quality Control

  • Ensure high-quality workmanship across all projects

  • Verify installations meet contract documents, codes, and customer expectations

  • Support inspections, testing, and commissioning activities

Coordination & Communication

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and Operations leadership

  • Coordinate with other trades, inspectors, vendors, and clients as needed

  • Participate in project meetings and provide field progress updates

  • Assist with conflict resolution and field issue escalation

Training & Development

  • Mentor and develop Superintendents and Foremen

  • Support workforce training, apprenticeships, and skills development

  • Assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of electrical construction experience (commercial/industrial preferred)

  • Previous experience as a Superintendent or Senior Field Leader

  • Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and electrical construction methods

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred

  • Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician

  • Experience with healthcare, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects

  • Strong scheduling and manpower planning experience

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to travel between jobsites

  • Ability to work in active construction environments

  • Occasional lifting, climbing, and extended periods on jobsites
