About this role

As a Working Student (m/f/d) Logistics Support, you will support the Inland Waterways Manager in planning, coordinating and monitoring inland waterway transportation activities and related logistics processes. The role is part of the Logistics Central Region team and contributes to the efficient planning, administration, and performance tracking of inland logistics operations. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external logistics partners while gaining practical insights into transportation and supply chain management.

 

 

YOUR TASKS

  • Support planning and tracking of inland waterway logistics
  • Maintain schedules, shipment records, and logistics databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date operational information
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze logistics performance data to support operational monitoring and reporting
  • Support communication with terminals, carriers, and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and logistics performance summaries
  • Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities 
  • Support documentation and compliance-related activities
  • Contribute to logistics projects and day-to-day operational activities

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • You are currently enrolled in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field at university
  • You have strong analytical skills and good proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • You demonstrate strong organizational skills and a structured approach to managing tasks and information
  • You possess strong communication skills and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
  • You have German and English language skills at a minimum B2 level, both written and spoken
  • You have an interest in transportation, logistics, inland waterway operations, and supply chain processes
