Service Technician
About this role
You are working together as part of the Service Operations Team, reporting to the Local Operations Manager and are responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of turbines with a high safety standard. You would work closely with the operational and Backoffice team to ensure a high level of availability in the windfarm which enables high service standards for our customers and promote future company growth.
YOUR TASKS
- Responsible for maintenance, repair, and operation of wind turbines.
- Perform preventive maintenance and other routine tasks
- Troubleshoots and repairs systems and equipment of the turbine under guidance
- Report daily activities, snags and maintenance tasks in accordance with internal requirements including booking of materials
- Maintain a high standard of the Service point, tools, service vans and local stock
- Participate in field training and provide knowledge transfer to colleagues within the team
YOUR PROFILE
- Vocational training in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronic fields as well as GWO certification (Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling)
- 0-2 years of experience in the wind industry or similar field
- Ability to work at heights and in remote locations is a must
- Nordex competencies (Teamwork, communication, etc)
- Physically capable of fulfilling the role
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Basic IT competency
- Basic understanding of wind turbine components
