About this role

As a Global Sourcing Manager Blades, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and supplier management of externally manufactured wind turbine blades. In close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers, you will ensure supply security, cost competitiveness, quality excellence, and long-term value creation across the global supply chain. 

 

YOUR TASKS

•    Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for blades in collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization

•    Act as the primary commercial and strategic interface between Nordex and external blade suppliers

•    Lead price, capacity, and commercial negotiations to achieve competitive market conditions and secure supply continuity

•    Negotiate and manage global agreements including FPA, QAA, NDA, and other strategic supplier contracts

•    Monitor blade supplier account performance through regular reviews covering pricing, risks, operations, forecasts, and cost improvements

•    Manage supplier-related activities across the value chain, including transitions to new manufacturing footprints in Europe, the US, India, and China

•    Drive supplier performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, CSR, and innovation while ensuring agreed KPI achievement

 

YOUR PROFILE

•    University degree in Economics, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

•     Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement within the wind industry or a comparable international sector

•     Structured and transparent approach to managing complex sourcing and supplier management processes

•    Proven ability to manage complex supplier relationships and global sourcing activities independently

•    High level of ownership, service orientation, and ability to work independently in a global environment

•    Communication skills and strong cultural awareness for effective collaboration in global teams

•    Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage
