Director Commercial Operations DIN (m/f/d)
About this role
As part of our growth we are looking for a Director Commercial Operations. This person will lead, optimize, and oversee business operations related to the lifecycle of wind projects, ensuring operational excellence, maximization of commercial performance, and strategic coordination among sales, operations, engineering, PMO, and clients.
The role acts as a link between commercial strategy, client needs, and project execution, ensuring that commercial agreements are translated into profitable, competitive projects delivered in accordance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards. This person will perform the following tasks:
YOUR TASKS:
Commercial Strategy and Leadership
- Define and execute the strategy for commercial operations, aligning it with the objectives of the wind business at both national and international levels.
- Represent the company in commercial, regulatory, and technological forums within the wind sector.
Bid and Proposal Management
- Oversee the preparation of complex bids, including planning, technical scope, and commercial terms.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of commercial proposals by coordinating inputs from engineering, finance, legal, procurement, and operations.
Negotiation, Processes, and Performance
- Manage key negotiations with strategic clients.
- Optimize commercial execution processes to ensure appropriate timelines, costs, and service levels.
- Monitor critical performance indicators, including conversion rates, backlog, profitability, forecasts, and margins.
Internal Coordination and Communication
- Lead communication and coordination among sales, PMO, supply chain, and production teams.
- Ensure a smooth transition between the commercial phase and project execution.
Risk, Safety, and Sustainability Management
- Assess and mitigate commercial, operational, regulatory, logistical, and environmental risks.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety and sustainability standards, including ESG criteria.
YOUR PROFILE:
- University degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration (ADE), or a similar field
- A Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Commercial Management, or an MBA is desirable
- High level of English, equivalent to C1
