Junior Data Scientist
About this role
Do you want to apply statistical reasoning, probabilistic modelling, and machine-learning techniques to understand player behaviour, evaluate game changes, and guide product decisions?
We’re looking for a passionate Junior Data Scientist with strong programming skills and a hands-on analytical mindset, capable of building reliable data systems, automating analyses, and developing models and simulations that help the team make better, faster, and more confident decisions.
THE DIFFERENCE YOU’LL MAKE:
As a Junior Data Scientist, you will play an important role in shaping how our games evolve and perform, how we use data in that process, and how we bring the Data Science magic into practice. This role blends elements of data engineering and business intelligence, with a focus on data science, giving you end-to-end ownership over how data is captured, transformed, interpreted, and ultimately used to influence the player experience and game strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Performing Data analyses and Causal data inference, with a main focus on AB testing
- Modelling user behaviour from real data and using it to power simulations you develop, representing parts of the game. In the process, you will be relying on game theory, applied probability and statistics, and programming
- Applied Machine Learning, from solving complex problems to building production-ready standalone tools and systems
- Telemetry design, to ensure that new changes in the game are properly and consistently captured by the data writing data transformations and maintaining game data quality
- Making Reports and Performing Business Monitoring, with a focus on automation
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:
-
You’ll partner closely with the Product Manager, Game Designers, Developers and the rest of the game team to ensure that decisions are grounded in high-quality data, clear insights, and robust analytical methods.
WE ARE A MATCH, IF YOU:
- Are passionate about Data Science
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or other quantitative fields
- Know Python, R, and SQL
- Have experience with any data visualization tool (such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik, etc.), as well as visualization best practices
- Have strong knowledge of Statistics and Machine Learning concepts
- Love playing games, or following the Gaming industry
