Client Engineer (Game team)

THE DIFFERENCE YOU’LL MAKE:

• We are looking for a Client Engineer to join one of our independent game teams. You will drive architectural decisions, and work alongside a squad of experienced developers to build, optimize, and scale our titles, ensuring they run flawlessly on millions of devices.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design, architect, and implement game features (in Unity with C#)
• Work hands-on across all technical aspects of client development: gameplay, client-side systems, and UI implementation
• Write high-quality, high-performance code that runs smoothly across a wide range of mobile devices (Android & iOS)
• Collaborate with game designers and artists to bring new in-game features to life
• Directly influence and shape features that ship to millions of players
• Create prototypes and proof-of-concept gameplay to validate ideas quickly
• Share knowledge, be proactive, be ready to help and willing to accept help

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:

• You will join a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Business Analysts, Artists, Game Designers, UX designers, Backend Engineers, QA Engineers, and others. At Nordeus, we champion team autonomy, meaning you’ll have a real seat at the table when deciding how features are built and delivered.

WE ARE A MATCH, IF YOU:

• Have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience - with significant time in mobile or client-side development - backed by a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical knowledge
• Have experience with one or more programming languages, including, but not limited to: C#, Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript
• Have owned architectural decisions and lived with their consequences in a production codebase
• Have a genuine interest in games and how they're made

BONUS POINTS:

• Have built a few games in Unity, not necessarily released to production
• Have worked on a live mobile game, ideally with at least one shipped title
• Are comfortable using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot
