The British International School Abu Dhabi is seeking to appoint a Student Support Assistant to join our AEN Team. This is a learning support role within a well-established and supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.

About the Role
The Student Support Assistant role consists of supporting pupils with AEN needs across the school.
As a Student Support Assistant within the AEN team, you will provide targeted support both in and out of the classroom, adapting resources, assisting with differentiated instruction, and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment where all learners can thrive. In conjunction with the Head of Inclusion, you will assist in the development and delivery of a suitable programme of support both within the classroom and on a one-to-one basis.
In collaboration with the Head of Inclusion and teaching staff, the Student Support Assistant will contribute to the planning, implementation, and review of personalised support programmes. They will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive effective, consistent, and high-quality support tailored to their individual learning needs.
The successful candidate will be a compassionate, patient, and proactive individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will demonstrate a genuine commitment to inclusive education and possess the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
Successful candidates will be fluent English language speakers. Fluency in an additional language would be an advantage. Experience of working in a school environment would be desirable, as would degree-level education.
