About this role
Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Facilities Manager to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar.
Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team, responsible for the day-to-day management, operation and maintenance of the school's buildings, grounds and infrastructure, ensuring a safe, secure and well-maintained environment that supports teaching, learning and the wider school community.
The role:
We seek an individual to join as Facilities Manager where your focus will be:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the school estate, ensuring facilities remain safe, functional and fit for purpose
- Planning and coordinating planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programs and overseeing reactive maintenance
- Coordinating statutory inspections, testing and certification, and supporting internal and external audits
- Managing contractors and service providers working on site, ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard
- Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of refurbishment and capital improvement projects
- Maintaining asset registers, equipment records and maintenance histories to support effective lifecycle management
- Supporting the management of facilities budgets and procurement activities, identifying opportunities for efficiency
- Providing facilities support for school events, examinations and emergency situations
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- A degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction or a related discipline
- Experience managing facilities operations within a complex operational environment
- Experience coordinating maintenance programs and contractors
- Good understanding of building maintenance, statutory compliance and facilities management
- Strong organisational, communication and IT skills
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM), FMP or equivalent desirable
- NEBOSH, IOSH or Project Management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) desirable
- Experience within an education environment and/or the GCC desirable
