Job Description

Due to expansion, H-Farm International School is looking to recruit boarding house parents (residential and non-residential) for our international community starting in August 2026.

Join our vibrant boarding community and play a key role in shaping the daily life and well-being of our students!

We are looking for proactive, caring, and adaptable boarding house parents to support our international boarders in being their best within a positive and dynamic residential environment. As the start date is approaching soon, having a valid European passport is essential.

What you will do

  • Be a visible and supportive presence in the boarding house, building strong relationships within our boarding community;
  • Become a mentor to a group of boarders to support wellbeing and personal development;
  • Supervise evening study sessions and support academic success;
  • Organise and take part in social, recreational, and weekend activities;
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all;
  • Enforce rules and routines consistently and fairly;
  • Carry out daily operational tasks (attendance checks, student sign-in/out, room checks);
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and boarding leadership;

  • A genuine passion for working with young people in a residential setting;
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills;
  • A flexible and positive “can-do” attitude;
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and proactive under pressure;
  • Confidence in taking responsibility and working independently to meet the needs of our boarding community;

Preferred:

  • Background in education or youth work;
  • Experience in an international education or boarding environment working with young people;
  • Additional languages including Italian are a plus;

Working pattern

  • Full time role up to 43/ 40 hours per week (flexible schedule) with at least one full day off per week.
  • Includes evenings, weekends, and some overnight duties
