About the role
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for defining the department’s strategic direction and ensuring the successful execution of key business objectives. You will build and nurture strong, long-term partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging these relationships to drive collaboration, innovation and business success.
You will play a key role in shaping the future of the organisation by leading strategic initiatives focused on new ways of working, digital transformation and the adoption of emerging technologies. Through your leadership, you will contribute to the continued growth, competitiveness and operational excellence of the department.

- Providing visionary leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and coordinating with other departments to enable successful project execution.
- Managing 15–25 employees who provide automation engineering services to customers in the pharmaceutical API production sector.
- Driving competence development within your department, in close collaboration with the management team across Denmark and India.
- Actively participating in projects to remain up to date on technical advancements and ensure alignment with the NNE way of working.
- Managing stakeholder communication and collaboration with customer representatives.
- Lead the way, while motivating your team to reach ambitious goals.
- Thrive in a dynamic work environment, with the opportunity to innovate and enhance the status quo with new initiatives.
- Embrace an agile approach and can prioritize urgent tasks.
- Have a “can do” mindset and enjoy working across disciplines.
- Have great communicative skills, enabling you to succeed when collaborating on team efforts.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven leadership experience with a minimum of 5 years managing managers and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
- At least 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences sector, combined with a strong background in complex engineering projects.
- Strong industry network and deep expertise in pharma automation technologies, e.g. DCS, PLC, and IT/OT solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to define strategic direction, translate strategy into execution, and deliver sustainable business outcomes.

The role is therefore primarily on-site, with physical presence at the workplace expected five days a week. Limited flexibility for occasional remote work may be accommodated in line with business needs.
