Main Roles & Responsibilities

As a HVAC Specialist, you’ll work with an innovative, multi-disciplinary team where you will:

• Own end-to-end HVAC system design and delivery from concept design to detailed engineering and commissioning support.
• Lead and develop specialist areas such as cleanroom HVAC systems and building utility systems.
• Define and govern HVAC design standards, specifications, and engineering best practices.
• Perform and review complex HVAC calculations including cooling/heating loads, ventilation requirements, pressure cascades, and airflow balancing.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, GMP requirements, and client standards.
• Coordinate technical work with Process, Electrical, Automation, BMS, Architectural, and other engineering disciplines.
• Support project leads and package owners across all project sizes and phases.
• Demonstrate strong subject matter expertise in HVAC engineering for pharmaceutical and industrial facilities.
• Take responsibility for HVAC scope execution, technical quality, and project deliverables.
• Ensure disciplinary consistency, quality, and compliance throughout project execution.
• Handle critical and high-complexity technical issues independently and act as an escalation point within the discipline.
• Review engineering deliverables, vendor documents, and technical specifications.
• Participate in design reviews, model reviews, FAT/SAT activities, and commissioning support.
• Contribute to capability building by mentoring junior and senior engineers within the discipline.
• Share knowledge across projects for technical and project execution alignment within the HVAC discipline.
• Support development of standards, guidelines, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive innovation, energy-efficient design approaches, and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Make operational and technical decisions through evaluation of known alternatives and engineering judgement.
• Monitor construction activities and ensure installation is aligned with drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Ready to travel anywhere in India or abroad for site visits and resolution of technical site queries.

• Deep expertise in HVAC systems including airside systems, ventilation systems, cleanrooms, and building utilities.
• Strong knowledge of AHUs, ducting systems, filtration systems, pressure control, and exhaust systems.
• Experience in cleanroom HVAC design and GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environments.
• Strong understanding of international standards and guidelines such as ASHRAE, ISO, GMP, and other relevant industry standards.
• Ability to perform HVAC load calculations, ventilation calculations, and pressure cascade analysis.
• Understanding of energy efficiency, sustainability principles, and lifecycle cost considerations.
• Ability to integrate HVAC design with process and facility requirements.
• Experience in reviewing vendor offers and performing technical bid evaluations.
• Familiarity with commissioning activities, FAT/SAT participation, and installation quality checks.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls and BMS integration.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or similar engineering and 3D model review tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Planning and progress evaluation skills at overall discipline level.
• Agile and able to prioritize urgent tasks.
• A strong team player with effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Passionate about technical discipline and continuous improvement.

Education and Work Experience

In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:

• You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
• You have a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in Pharma industry HVAC system
• Fluent in English, spoken and written.
