Role description

We are looking for an I&C Technician who will collaborate to the Lead Fast Reactor (LFR) R&D activities focusing on definition, selection of on line instrumentation and automation devices of experimental facilities.

Main activities

On a day-to-day basis, the job requires to carry out some or all the following significant activities:

  • Perform instrumentation, control, and automation technical check in design phase of test facilities.
  • Propose specific test programs for testing and/or fine-tuning installed instrumentation.
  • Assess the consistency of newcleo I&C component selection vs. similar devices already in use in ENEA R&D facilities.
  • Develop or review discipline material quantity estimates.
  • Overview commissioning of R&D facilities for the proper working of instrumentation and automation.
  • Coordinate other units’ staff dealing with I&C design or during facility operation or maintenance.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Prepare or review facility operation manuals.
  • Coordinate assigned work with other technical personnel as directed.

Desired qualifications

  • Technical school diploma either in Electronics or Automation discipline.
  • Approximately 15-years’ experience in I&C field and automation is required.
  • Understanding of industry instruments availability and regulatory codes.
  • Job knowledge of various types of field Instrumentation, PLC.
  • Knowledge of design and analysis principles for large or complex systems.
  • Fluent in Italian (CEFR C1+), basic English knowledge (A1).

What we offer

  • Permanent contract.
  • Salary range: RAL 45.000-55.000 €. To be defined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience.
