Co-Founding CTO

About the Role

Zentrian is seeking a Co-Founding CTO to lead the technical vision of an AI-powered smarthome intelligence platform. You'll own the full technical architecture, drive product development, and build out the engineering team as we scale from pre-seed through Series A and beyond. This is a hands-on co-founder role where your technical decisions and leadership will shape how millions of properties detect anomalies, optimize energy, and manage their connected systems.

What You'll Do

• Own and evolve the technical architecture across IoT, cloud, and AI/ML layers.
• Lead and grow the engineering team from our current foundation.
• Drive the product roadmap from a technical perspective, balancing innovation with execution.
• Write code and solve critical technical problems alongside your team.
• Represent the technical vision to investors, partners, and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience with 3+ years in senior technical leadership roles.
• Strong IoT and embedded systems background with proven shipping experience.
• Cloud architecture expertise, ideally with AWS.
• AI/ML product experience applied to real-world, production systems.
• Proven 0→1 startup experience as a co-founder or early CTO—not a big-corp-only background.
• Hands-on coder who can jump into the codebase when needed, not purely a manager.
• Hardware and software crossover experience.
• Smart home, building tech, or energy management domain knowledge.
• German or Spanish language skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Co-founding equity up to 5% (earn-in structure).

Primarily based in Mallorca, Spain, with strong ties to Munich.
