The Associate Vice President (AVP) – Acquiring Sales is responsible for leading and growing the Merchant Acquiring business in Saudi Arabia through the execution of sales strategy, merchant acquisition, revenue growth, and portfolio expansion. The role oversees Direct Sales, Digital Sales, and Sales Support functions, driving commercial performance, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth through strong leadership, strategic partnerships, and customer-centric execution.

 1. Business Strategy & Leadership
•    Drive market expansion by identifying new business opportunities and growth segments.
•    Monitor market trends and competitive activities to support strategic decision-making.
•    Lead annual business planning and resource allocation to achieve commercial objectives.
•    Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic business planning.

2. Revenue Growth & Commercial Performance
•    Own the overall commercial performance of the acquiring business, including revenue growth, portfolio expansion, and profitability.
•    Identify opportunities to increase merchant value through cross-selling and value-added services.
•    Implement corrective actions to address performance gaps and accelerate growth.
•    Drive profitability and commercial discipline across all opportunities.


3. Direct Sales Leadership
•    Drive sales productivity and ensure consistent execution across all sales teams.
•    Develop and coach sales leaders to build a high-performing sales organization.
•    Optimize territory coverage and resource allocation to maximize market penetration.

4. Digital Sales & Tele Sales Leadership
•    Develop scalable digital acquisition models to increase lead generation and conversion rates.
•    Oversee digital sales campaigns and optimize funnel performance through data-driven insights.
•    Drive customer acquisition through digital channels, partnerships, and emerging technologies.
•    Establish lead qualification, nurturing, and conversion frameworks to maximize acquisition efficiency.
•    Continuously improve digital customer journeys and sales effectiveness.

5. Sales Support & Sales Operations Management
•    Establish operational excellence standards across sales support functions.
•    Lead the automation and optimization of sales processes and reporting capabilities.
•    Ensure timely and accurate management reporting to support executive decision-making.
•    Drive governance, data quality standards, and user adoption across the sales organization.
•    Improve sales cycle efficiency through process redesign and workflow enhancements.

6. Pipeline Management & Forecasting
•     Establish pipeline health standards and minimum coverage ratios across all sales channels.
•    Ensure consistent opportunity qualification and stage progression management.
•    Drive forecast accuracy through regular performance reviews and data validation processes.
•    Monitor sales conversion performance and identify actions to improve sales effectiveness.
•    Implement predictive analytics and trend analysis to support business planning.

7. Strategic Account Management
•    Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic merchants and partners.
•    Sponsor high-value commercial opportunities and major account growth initiatives.
•    Lead complex negotiations involving strategic partnerships and enterprise customers.
•    Support key account retention and portfolio expansion strategies.
•    Identify opportunities for long-term strategic collaboration and market expansion.

8. Merchant Onboarding & Customer Experience

•    Establish customer experience standards across the merchant acquisition lifecycle.
•    Monitor onboarding performance and drive continuous improvements in activation timelines.
•    Ensure efficient resolution of onboarding challenges through cross-functional collaboration.
•    Lead initiatives aimed at improving merchant satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
•    Promote a customer-centric culture across sales and support teams.


9. Team Development & Performance Management
•    Develop leadership capability and strengthen talent pipelines across the acquiring sales function.
•    Implement structured succession planning and talent development programs.
•    Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
•    Recognize and reward high performance while addressing performance gaps proactively.
•    Ensure employee engagement and retention through effective people management practices.

10. Governance, Risk & Compliance
•    Establish and maintain strong governance frameworks across all sales activities.
•    Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and delegated authority limits.
•    Drive transparency and accountability through accurate documentation and audit readiness.
•    Identify and mitigate commercial, operational, and reputational risks.
•    Promote ethical selling practices and adherence to corporate values.

11.  Decision-Making Authority
•    Approve commercial proposals within delegated authority limits.
•    Approve sales resource allocation, territory assignments, and performance improvement initiatives.
•    Recommend organizational structure changes to improve commercial effectiveness.
•    Escalate pricing exceptions, strategic partnerships, and high-value opportunities for executive approval.

 Experience/ Skills Required:Ex

Education
•    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related discipline.
•    MBA is preferred.
•    Professional certifications in Sales Leadership, Banking, Payments, or Commercial Management are advantageous.

Experience
•    10+ years of experience in Merchant Acquiring, Payments, Banking, Fintech, or Financial Services in KSA market.
•    Minimum 5 years leading sales teams.
•    Proven track record of exceeding revenue and acquisition targets.
