Job DetailsJob Location: Lancaster - Lancaster, TX 75146Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 SalaryJob Category: SalesA Community Relations Officer is a brand ambassador who promotes Neighborhood Credit Union’s visibility and membership growth through involvement in on-site visits at Select Employee Groups and postal stations, as well as through networking. This sales position requires the ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members and to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner to community, educational, non-profit, postal, and Select Employee Group (SEG) organizations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Assumes responsibility for the effective and timely performance of assisting and educating community partners and members.
Schedules on-site visits with SEGs and Community Partners, maintaining effective and consistent communication.
Conducts on-site credit union orientations for SEGs and postal stations on a consistent basis.
Facilitates in the creation, scheduling, and presentation of Financial Literacy Courses as a SEG benefit and as a supplement to Neighborhood Credit Union Foundation.
Communicates with Retail Branches regarding planned SEG visits and prospecting efforts. Provides timely follow-up with members, employees, and SEG leads.
Serves as initial contact and representative for new SEG members, providing a warm hand off to branch relationship builder for continued onboarding and member support.
Educates SEG members on NCU’s products and digital services. Interviews members to obtain information, explains available financial services, and assists members to make the most effective usage of service offerings.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional business relations within the organization, with partners, and in the community.
Identifies, coordinates, and negotiates ongoing SEG opportunities. Creates, cultivates, and deepens strategic community partnerships while representing the credit union's mission and philosophy through ongoing networking.
Identifies and solicits prospective SEG partnerships to build credit union membership penetration.
Stays abreast of individual community trends and economic development changes.
Maintains open communication and education with Retail staff to enhance their awareness of the Business Development Plan and services available to existing and potential SEGs and Community Partners.
- Assumes responsibility for the effective reporting and analysis of data.
Takes initiative to create a strategic action plan to achieve individual production goals. Provides monthly reports documenting sales results generated by business development and community relation’s efforts.
Utilizes SEG data from PowerBI dashboard to gain greater member utilization.
Collaborates with Marketing for intentional marketing to SEG members based on data analysis.
Responsible for the analysis of relevant statistics from Business Development data, making recommendations to management when applicable.
QualificationsEducation/Certification
High School graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge
Proficient in knowledge of policies and procedures.
Strong understanding of credit union operations.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two or more years of related experience in generating sales leads
