Job Overview:
Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area. Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products. Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality. Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.

At this role level the preferred candidate is fully proficient in most functional tasks and demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of their area of specialization. Responsibilities include collaborating with team members to solve complex problems, proactively identifying and addressing quality issues, and preventing potential disruptions within their scope of work. The individual is expected to document and present research, recommendations, and complex information in a clear and accessible manner to both internal and external audiences.
This role provides technical guidance to colleagues, anticipates process and capacity challenges, and develops effective solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards. The individual is capable of managing multiple components of large projects, balancing time and resources to meet deadlines, and ensuring alignment with quality and cost objectives.

Experience Required:
Individuals at this level are fully proficient in most functional tasks and bring strong technical or professional knowledge to their role. Typically requiring 3–5 years of experience in the field, they are capable of handling complex assignments, managing parts of larger projects, and providing technical guidance to peers. Experience should demonstrate problem-solving, collaboration, and the ability to document and present complex information clearly.
