This position leads the Preferred Medical Distribution Center in Conway, AR. The Distribution Center Manager oversees all aspects of the operation and is responsible for ensuring excellence in customer experience, a safe workplace, operational efficiencies and financial performance, building a high-performing team and positive work environment, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality management system standards. This role will also manage customer relationships and partner with key stakeholders across the company.
Develop people, processes, systems, staffing plans, equipment needs, and facility layout to consistently provide a positive and profitable customer experience
Lead the distribution center associates, partner with stakeholders across the company, and manage customer relationships in a manner where people consistently experience you in a positive way
Invest in associate recruitment, training programs, coaching and development, performance management, building a high-performing and empowered team, and fostering a culture that people enjoy and find rewarding
Manage individual and team performance to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly metrics
Understand root causes of performance variances and drive corrective actions
Champion continuous improvement and empower people within the distribution center and across the company to help identify opportunities, develop implementation plans, and drive meaningful improvements in customer experience, cost, quality, and safety
Achieve a safe workplace and culture that is OSHA compliant and by employing processes and training, safety talks and walks, and best practices
Ensure compliance with regulatory (e.g., FDA) and quality management system standards
QualificationsExperience & Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
8+ years experience working in a distribution center with progressive responsibilities over time, including leading people
2+ years experience working in a healthcare / medical / pharmaceutical distribution center is strongly preferred
Licensed Florida Designated Representative is a plus
Demonstrated track record of achieving stringent customer service objectives, driving labor productivity and continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe workplace
Adept at building a high-performing team through team building, coaching and developing associates, motivating and inspiring team members, and assessing and managing associate performance against expectations
Skillful in driving associate engagement and collaboration within a distribution center and across a company
Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office, a warehouse management system (WMS), and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is required
Experienced in creating, implementing, and sustaining standard operating procedures
Firsthand experience working in an ISO 9001 certified facility is a plus
