As an HVAC Technician Instructor at Lincoln Tech, you'll educate and mentor aspiring professionals in our well-equipped facility. You'll provide both theoretical and hands-on training that prepares students for successful careers in the HVAC industry, building on our proven track record of graduate success. Your industry expertise combined with our comprehensive instructor support will help you excel in this rewarding teaching role. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of field experience within the last 10 years.
We're particularly interested in candidates with extensive experience in:
- Advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of HVAC system failures
- Complex repair work on various equipment types and brands
- Building automation and control systems (BAS) maintenance and programming
- Both residential and commercial HVAC service and repair
- Equipment performance testing, calibration, and optimization

Responsibilities:
- Teach advanced diagnostic and repair techniques using Lincoln Tech's proven curriculum in both classroom and hands-on lab settings
- Guide students through practical troubleshooting scenarios, system analysis, and repair procedures
- Demonstrate proper testing, calibration, and repair of various HVAC components and systems
- Share your real-world insights on identifying and resolving complex system failures
- Train students on proper use of diagnostic tools, test equipment, and service procedures
- Prepare students for industry certifications and successful careers as service technicians
- Create an engaging learning environment that builds both technical skills and professional work habits
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on HVAC service, repair, and diagnostic experience within the last 10 years
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex system failures
- Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical circuits, controls, and mechanical components
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment
- Experience with building automation systems and controls troubleshooting
- Master or Journeyperson preferred
- EPA 608 Certification
- Experience training, supervising, or mentoring other technicians a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex diagnostic processes clearly
- High school diploma/GED (additional technical education or certifications a plus)
