AIR FREIGHT SENIOR COORDINATOR
About this role
Job Tasks:
- Deploy departmental objectives and resulted Action Plans, as set by CLD Transport Unit management.
- Receive from BUs/Central Purchasing Units/Planning Coordinator Outbound and Inbound transportation needs in order to arrange respective bookings, and update CLD Shipments’ Log. accordingly.
- Contact Transportation agencies for booking placement, reference to Shipments’ allocation plan set by Support Manager, and highlight any main deviations in their price offerings against contractual agreements.
- Contact third party Quality Inspection bodies (e.g. Bureau Veritas, SGS,) upon need to arrange respective goods’ inspection, update requester BU, and follow-up to avail respective Inspection report/certificate.
- Track shipments and update related status on CLD Shipments’ log. On a weekly basis, and share a weekly update with all BUs.
- Investigate cases of Miss OTIF related to his shipments and provide related RCA for Transport Unit management’ review, prior to sharing it with CLD Planning Coordinator for respective logging & analysis.
- Follow-up with Transportation Lines over the receipt of shipping invoices and Proof of Delivery, check their contents, communicate any discrepancy for rectification, prior to relaying for respective BUs.
- Assist Air Sea Transport Unit Management in the Yearly Suppliers’ evaluation by providing required feed-backs.
- Proceed efficiently with transfer into digital integration in cooperation with BUs and suppliers.
- Follow up with Affiliates on receipt of shipment planning schedule and report on its accuracy.
- Find solutions for Exceptional and Sudden Transportation problems through the network of contacts built and through deep know how of the transportation market.
- Implement Insurance strategy on all shipments and ensure all cargo is covered.
