Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive Sales Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background and hands-on experience in selling Fire Protection and Fire Fighting Systems to the Oil & Gas, EPC, and refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG, tank farms, drilling rigs sectors. The ideal candidate will take ownership of business development activities, grow existing accounts, and identify and pursue new sales opportunities. You will be responsible for managing key customer relationships, preparing detailed techno-commercial proposals, and driving sales targets while consistently delivering accurate technical solutions that align with client requirements and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Develop business with Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, consultants, and industrial clients by understanding project needs, mapping stakeholders, and building long-term relationships.
Promote Fire Protection Systems, including Fire Pumps, Clean Agent System, Sprinkler Systems, Foam Systems, Deluge Systems, Water Mist systems, and Gas Suppression Systems, ensuring product fit, compliance, and effective value proposition for each project.
Generate new business opportunities through lead identification, market research, networking, and consistent follow-up, while maintaining strong and responsive client relationships from initial inquiry through order closure.
Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, BOQs, and tender submissions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely submission in line with customer requirements and bid schedules.
Conduct client meetings, product presentations, and contract negotiations, clearly communicating technical benefits, commercial terms, performance expectations, and scope alignment.
Coordinate closely with engineering and estimation teams to support solution design, BOQ preparation, documentation readiness, and timely project execution.
Achieve sales targets by tracking opportunities and pipeline health, and maintain complete and up-to-date CRM records to ensure visibility of activities, forecasts, and customer interactions.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals relevant to fire protection and fire fighting systems.
3–5 years of Fire Protection Systems sales experience, including exposure to bidding, proposal preparation, and working with technical and commercial stakeholders across industrial projects.
Experience selling to Oil & Gas and EPC clients, demonstrating the ability to influence decision-making, manage stakeholder expectations, and support successful deal closure.
Knowledge of NFPA standards and fire protection products, including familiarity with system types, application use-cases, and the technical requirements expected by clients.
Strong technical, commercial, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate engineering requirements into clear proposals and value-driven customer discussions.
UAE/GCC experience preferred, including an understanding of regional project environments, customer preferences, and procurement practices.
Valid UAE Driving License preferred to enable onsite visits, client meetings, and effective coordination across project locations.
