Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Service Engineer (m/f/d) to join our service team in China. In this role, you will support the commissioning, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of NACOS Marine automation systems on vessels and at customer sites.
You will work closely with customers, shipyards, service colleagues, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard. This role is well suited to someone with a strong technical background who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and working in an international maritime environment.

Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Service Engineer (m/f/d) to join our service team in China. In this role, you will support the commissioning, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of NACOS Marine automation systems on vessels and at customer sites.
You will work closely with customers, shipyards, service colleagues, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard. This role is well suited to someone with a strong technical background who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and working in an international maritime environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of NACOS Marine automation systems
- Manage on-site service activities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to the agreed scope
- Diagnose technical issues and determine appropriate solutions in collaboration with customers and internal technical teams
- Monitor daily work activities, document progress, and prepare accurate customer service reports
- Communicate clearly with customers, shipyards, owners, surveyors, and internal stakeholders throughout service activities
- Support the resolution of customer complaints and technical issues
- Identify safety risks and ensure compliance with HSE requirements and site procedures
- Monitor project scope and communicate potential schedule, cost, or scope impacts to the relevant supervisor or Project Manager
- Work closely with service team members and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient project execution
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge and stay up to date with new technologies and NACOS Marine products
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Communications, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in marine, heavy industry, field service, shipyard, or similar technical environments is an advantage
- Experience with commissioning and programmable logic controllers is beneficial
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions independently when required
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel frequently within China and internationally when required
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing customer and project requirements
- Willingness and motivation to learn new technologies and develop technical expertise
- Knowledge of marine automation systems is an advantage
