About Our Family

We're a busy, driven family of five living in a tight-knit community. Both parents run their own businesses from home, and our household includes school-age twins committed to competitive sports and a 5-month-old baby who is along for the ride.

Between early morning school routines, back-to-back work calls, evening sports practices, entrepreneurial careers, and family life, our days are full and always moving.

We believe strongly in hard work and personal responsibility, and our older kids are expected to pitch in and care for their own spaces. What we're looking for is someone who can take ownership of the broader household operations, helping everything run smoothly so we can be more present as parents and focused in our work.

We're looking for someone proactive and self-directed — someone who can walk in, notice what needs attention, anticipate what's coming next, and take initiative. Our businesses are growing with no end in sight, but so are our kids. We are hiring a true partner who will lift our mental load so that we can focus on what truly matters: showing up as our best selves as parents while also building careers we love.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You're steady, proactive, and self-directed. You can look at the calendar, understand what needs to happen, and “run the play.” You are confident enough to anticipate what's coming, take initiative, and keep things moving without needing constant direction.

You're warm, calm, and confident around a young baby and comfortable stepping in with capable care when needed. You understand the rhythms of infancy and can naturally shift between baby support and the broader needs of the household throughout the day. While this isn't a nanny position, we are looking for a true partner who knows how to set household tasks down to attend to a baby's needs while we are busy with work, and come back to finish it when we can step back in.

You're comfortable working independently in a home where both parents work and are often on calls, in meetings, or in and out throughout the day. You know when to engage, when to communicate, and when to simply keep things moving behind the scenes.

Above all, you bring reliability and consistency. You show up when you say you will, communicate proactively, and follow through. You take pride in keeping a busy household running smoothly and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and get a job done. If you have a growth mindset and want to evolve with our family and businesses, we'd love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Perform daily household resets: Light tidying including dishes, surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic
  • Maintain tidiness and organization the mudroom, entrance foyer, and open-concept living area— this is the family's highest-priority zone
  • Manage seasonal swaps for clothing, décor, and bedding
  • Support with event and holiday preparation (seasonal décor, Halloween costumes gift coordination, guest prep)
  • Assist with packing and unpacking for travel, being mindful of organization and logistics
  • Oversee organizational projects as needed
  • Prepare home for weekly cleaning crew visits
  • Water and care for indoor plants
  • Willing to roll up sleeves for occasional refresh projects as needed

Laundry & Linens

  • Wash, fold, and organize laundry on a daily or near-daily basis to keep up with the volume from an active family of five
  • Handle ironing, steaming, and special garment care as needed
  • Manage linen rotation and maintain a tidy, well-stocked laundry area

Meal Support

  • Prep and cook weeknight dinners four times per week (Monday through Thursday): one meal for parents following a simple meal plan, and one meal for kids
  • Prepare daily lunches for both parents (based on prescriptive meal plan)
  • Prepare school lunches for the older kids the evening before, to ease the morning routine
  • Meal plan for kids' meals: anticipate sports-night schedules and prep grab-and-go meals and snacks accordingly
  • Handle grocery shopping, both in-store and via online order pickup
  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain a tidy and organized kitchen between cooking sessions

Inventory & Errands

  • Manage running household supply lists and place orders as needed
  • Handle mail and package intake, break down boxes, and move cardboard to the garage
  • Coordinate returns, gift shopping, and other miscellaneous errands as needed

Vendor & Property Oversight

  • Serve as the liaison with the weekly cleaning crew — handle their scheduling, communicate the family's needs, and troubleshoot any gaps in service
  • Flag areas needing deeper attention (fridge, oven, baseboards) and coordinate with cleaners accordingly
  • Proactively notice when outdoor spaces, including garden beds and landscaping, need attention and step in with light maintenance such as clearing debris, watering, and seasonal planting
  • Flag any property maintenance needs; the family has an extensive contractor network for repairs

Family Support

  • Provide light, responsive backup care for the baby during the core workday — stepping in when the baby wakes from naps during calls or when a parent needs a few uninterrupted minutes
  • Prep backpacks, clothing, and snacks for the older kids as needed (and support them in doing this for themselves)
  • Support with kid-related errands (seasonal items, sports gear, activity prep)
  • School pickup and drop-off support may be considered once trust is established

Administrative & Personal Assistant Support

  • Read and work from the family's shared household calendar (maintained on a physical calendar in the kitchen and digitally)
  • Participate in brief biweekly planning check-ins to align on the upcoming schedule
  • Coordinate appointments (medical, dental, etc.) and manage event logistics as an added value
  • Support travel planning and logistics, including gift shipping and packing coordination
