JOB SUMMARY

Gain manufacturing experience by working with the Operations Manager, operations team, and management while completing determined projects and applying engineering principles.

REPORTING TO

Operations Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Utilizing SolidWorks CAD to generate all 3D Part & Assembly models. Generate all required CAD Drawings, as well as BOMs.
  • Assist in the development of improved processes for the Handle Manufacturing Cell. This includes developing fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
  • Create all necessary documentation. This will include all part drawings, set-up sheets, BOMs, and work instructions. 
  • Assist Engineering and QC with the implementation of the Raw Material Identification System
  • Assist with any Engineering Master and any Work Order changes.
  • Assist the procuring and verifying weekly WIP data reports to present to the General Manager, utilizing Visual ERP 
  • Develop, design, and generate “shop drawings” to enable shop employees to manufacture parts for resale, internal parts and tooling.
  • Collect any necessary data and generate a report to analyze specific process metrics. This may include labor hours, machine tool life studies, machine tool usage, machine maintenance schedules, etc.
  • Additional tasks as directed

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within a group.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Strong desire to learn from all departments.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office systems.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work on several projects at a time.
