Job Summary We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Costing Assistant Manager to oversee product and standard costing within our client's ERP system. In this pivotal role, you will analyze manufacturing costs, manage inventory valuations, and evaluate product profitability to drive strategic business decisions, while closely collaborating with various internal departments.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and maintain product, standard, and Bill of Materials (BOM) costing, as well as cost allocations within the ERP system.
Analyze manufacturing costs, cost variances, and product profitability to guide strategic and operational business decisions.
Prepare comprehensive costing reports, management reports, and financial analyses for the leadership team.
Drive budgeting, forecasting, pricing analysis, and costing for new products and customized quotations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Warehouse, Sales, and Finance to ensure absolute accuracy of costing data.
Track inventory costing, stock valuations, and cost movements to identify and recommend actionable cost-saving opportunities.
Support ongoing ERP (Acumatica) system enhancements, financial process optimization, and other ad-hoc finance projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Cost Accounting, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in costing or manufacturing finance.
Strong expertise in manufacturing costing, standard costing, BOM, cost variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
Prior experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting is highly advantageous.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; hands-on experience with Acumatica ERP is a strong plus.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across different departments.
