Role Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Group’s senior leadership team, responsible for providing strong financial leadership, strategic direction and commercial insight across the Group.

The CFO will work closely with the Group CEO, Board of Directors and business leaders to drive financial performance, strengthen financial discipline, optimise capital allocation and support the Group’s growth and long-term value creation.

The role will oversee the Group’s financial management, planning and performance, treasury, risk management, governance, corporate finance and stakeholder relationships. The CFO is expected to be both strategic and hands-on, providing robust financial control while actively partnering with the business to improve profitability, cash flow, EBITDA and overall business performance.

1. Financial Leadership & Business Performance
  • Develop and execute the Group’s financial strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth priorities.
  • Partner with the Group CEO and senior management on business strategy, financial performance and key commercial decisions.
  • Drive improvements in revenue, profitability, EBITDA, margins, cash flow and return on capital.
  • Establish clear financial targets, KPIs and performance management frameworks across the Group.
  • Provide timely financial analysis, scenario modelling and commercial recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Challenge business assumptions and decisions constructively through sound financial and commercial judgement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency, productivity and overall financial performance.
2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Reporting
  • Lead the Group’s annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Establish effective financial reporting and management information systems to support business performance.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets, forecasts and strategic targets and drive corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
  • Provide the Group CEO and Board with clear, concise and actionable financial insights.
  • Strengthen financial processes, controls and reporting standards across the Group.
3. Treasury, Cash Flow & Capital Management
  • Oversee the Group’s cash flow, working capital, liquidity and treasury management.
  • Develop strategies to optimise cash generation and working capital utilisation.
  • Manage banking relationships and negotiate financing facilities, credit lines and other funding arrangements.
  • Optimise the Group’s capital structure and financing costs.
  • Ensure appropriate funding is available to support business operations, expansion and strategic investments.
  • Monitor financial risks relating to liquidity, interest rates, foreign exchange and funding.
4. Corporate Finance & Strategic Initiatives
  • Provide financial leadership on acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, restructuring and other strategic initiatives.
  • Lead financial evaluation, due diligence, valuation, financial modelling and deal structuring for corporate transactions.
  • Assess investment proposals and capital allocation decisions based on risk, returns and strategic value.
  • Support the Group CEO and Board on new business opportunities and expansion initiatives.
  • Lead or support fundraising, corporate exercises and other strategic financing activities where required.
5. Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls and risk management across the Group.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, statutory obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to maintain robust financial controls and reporting standards.
  • Identify and proactively manage financial, operational and commercial risks.
  • Support the Board, Audit Committee and senior management with appropriate financial and risk reporting.
  • Maintain high standards of financial integrity, transparency and accountability across the organisation.
6. Stakeholder & Investor Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, auditors, tax advisers and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent the Group in financial and commercial discussions with external stakeholders.
  • Where applicable, lead investor relations activities and strengthen market confidence in the Group.
  • Support the preparation of Board papers, financial presentations, annual reports and other corporate communications.
  • Provide clear and credible communication of the Group’s financial performance and outlook.
7. Leadership, Transformation & Commercial Partnership
  • Lead, develop and strengthen the Group Finance function, ensuring the team has the capability and structure to support the Group’s growth.
  • Build a high-performance finance culture focused on accountability, commercial thinking and continuous improvement.
  • Drive digitalisation, automation and improvements in financial systems and processes.
  • Work closely with business units to embed stronger financial discipline and commercial decision-making.
  • Act as a strategic business partner rather than solely a finance controller.
  • Ensure Finance is closely aligned with the Group’s operational and strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline, preferably a professional accounting qualification such as MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, MICPA, CAANZ or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including significant experience in a senior finance leadership or CFO-equivalent role.
  • Proven track record in driving business performance, profitability, cash flow and financial transformation.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, capital management and corporate finance.
  • Experience in fundraising, banking relationships, M&A, investment evaluation or corporate restructuring would be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with the CEO, Board and senior management in a high-growth and dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, strategic thinking and hands-on execution capability.
