Job Description: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

Position Overview:
The Early Childhood Educator (ECE) is responsible for creating and implementing developmentally appropriate programs and activities that support the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of young children (0-5 years). The ECE ensures a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment while fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Planning and Implementation:

    • Develop and deliver engaging, play-based, and educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.

    • Incorporate inclusive practices to accommodate diverse needs and abilities.

  2. Child Supervision and Safety:

    • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the program.

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free learning environment.

  3. Child Development Support:

    • Observe and document children’s progress and developmental milestones.

    • Identify and address individual needs through targeted support and activities.

  4. Parent and Family Engagement:

    • Communicate regularly with families regarding their child’s development and participation.

    • Provide guidance and resources to support parenting and learning at home.

  5. Regulatory Compliance:


    • Follow all relevant childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma or equivalent qualification.

  • Valid certification in First Aid and CPR.

  • Knowledge of child development theories and practices.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
