Systems Administrator Senior
About this role
- Supports, designs, maintains and monitors internal and external networks.
- Implements and manages all systems, applications, security and network configurations.
- Resolves network performance issues and establishes a disaster recovery plan.
- Recommends upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment.
- Provides technical support and guidance to users.
- Relies on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals. Usually reports to a supervisor or department head.
- Primacy on Linux/RHEL operating systems administration and associated hardware; knowledgeable on Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Experience in effective communication and collaborating in a high-performance team environment.
- RBAC and STIG policy management for RHEL systems
- Ansible automation/playbooks; YAML
- Working knowledge of CISCO network and switching and virtualization technologies
- Working knowledge of virtualization as it applies to users environments, operating systems, and network appliances - Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies
- Working knowledge communication security (COMSEC) policies and integration
- Working knowledge and current relevant experience with IL4 and above network environments/systems
- Must be familiar with DoD policy as it applies to implementing and executing system and network administration Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework and how to apply it to network/information system environments Working knowledge in the following programming languages: - Bash scripting, Python
- Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
- Experience with USSF Defensive Cyber Operations
- 10+ years relevant experience and Masters degree; or 18+ years and a Bachelor’s degree, or; or 25+ years and Associates degree.
- 1 or more Cyber/Sys Admin certs: Security+, Linux, Red Hat, AWS Cloud, CCNA or DoD 8140 Advanced Proficiency
- Must possess a Top Secret with SCI eligibility. SAR/SAP experience highly desirable
- Place of work is Colorado Springs, remote work opportunity is limited. You may be required to travel periodically, less than 10%.
