Electrical Commissioning Technician
MSR-FSR is looking for Electrical Commissioning Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Commissioning of electrical equipment/system installations. Systems can include high, medium, and low voltage i.e., LSS, I&C, power distribution/generation etc.
- Complete all documentation and any other reports that are required for the project to, review of testing procedures, and testing activities.
- Work with and communicate effectively with subcontractors, superintendents, office staff, engineering staff, consultants, and owner's representatives to facilitate project activities
- Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings
- Electrical System walk-downs, installation verification to requirements of all drawings, P&ID’s, specifications, submittals, specific system and prerequisites with any deficiencies, errors or corrective actions required being notified to the construction team via field work reporting and punch list generation.
- Preparation and field execution of startup checks, including responsibility for verifying that the startup documents have been fully executed and signed off.
- Ensure equipment and overall system OAT / FAT process meets expectations
- Review OAT documentation and conduct FATs on behalf of customer
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years verifiable electrical experience (journeyman level)
- Five to ten years related experience in the construction industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with High, Low, Medium voltage- transformers, substations, switchgears etc.
- Knowledge of relevant Codes and Standards (IEEE, NEMA, NFPA, NETA, OSHA)
