Your Purpose

The Jewelry Product Development Senior Manager is responsible for transforming creative concepts into commercially successful jewelry collections across MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys. Working closely with the in-house Jewelry Designer, the Head of Watches & Jewelry, industrial partners and suppliers, the role leads the end-to-end product development process from concept validation through industrialization and market launch while ensuring each collection is commercially balanced, technically feasible, financially viable and aligned with the positioning of each cruise brand. The role combines creativity, product expertise and industrial know-how to build distinctive jewelry collections that strengthen the Group's exclusive retail offering.

Your Impact

Collection Development

  • Lead the end to end development of exclusive jewelry collections from concept to launch.
  • Translate creative vision into commercially successful products while preserving design integrity.
  • Build structured collections with balanced product architecture, pricing, materials, and customer segments.
  • Identify portfolio gaps and propose new product opportunities.
  • Maintain collection freshness through seasonal updates, new launches, and limited editions.

Product Development

  • Manage the product development calendar and critical path.
  • Coordinate prototypes, technical drawings, sampling, approvals, and production readiness.
  • Ensure products meet quality, cost, timing, and commercial targets.
  • Monitor product performance throughout its lifecycle and drive improvements.
  • Support collection launches across the network.

Supplier & Industrial Partner Management

  • Manage relationships with jewelry manufacturers and production partners.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers to support growth and innovation.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on quality, craftsmanship, innovation, capacity, ethical sourcing, and competitiveness.
  • Facilitate technical collaboration between designers and manufacturers.
  • Support supplier negotiations with Category Management and Procurement.

Collection Architecture & Portfolio Management

  • Continuously assess the strength and completeness of the jewelry portfolio.
  • Maintain balanced representation across categories, materials, gemstones, finishes, and price points.
  • Analyze sales and customer insights to identify assortment opportunities.
  • Recommend portfolio rationalization to improve productivity.
  • Develop long term collection roadmaps aligned with brand strategy.

Quality & Product Excellence

  • Ensure all products meet quality, regulatory, and brand standards.
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and production approvals.
  • Partner with Quality teams to resolve issues and improve product performance.
  • Maintain exceptional craftsmanship across all collections.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Jewelry Designer throughout the creative process.
  • Align product development with category strategy alongside the Head of Watches & Jewelry.
  • Collaborate with Retail Operations to maximize commercial execution.
  • Work with Planning and Order Management to optimize inventory levels.
  • Partner with Performance teams to monitor profitability and investment returns.
  • Coordinate effectively with cross functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution.

Innovation

  • Monitor jewelry trends, materials, manufacturing techniques, and consumer preferences.
  • Explore new materials, gemstones, finishes, and production technologies.
  • Benchmark competitors and identify differentiation opportunities.
  • Drive innovation while maintaining commercial and operational viability.

Your Journey so far

  • 8+ years of experience in jewelry product development, collection management or product management.
  • Experience working with jewelry manufacturers and production partners.
  • Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, materials and craftsmanship.
  • Experience managing product development calendars and supplier coordination.
  • Experience within luxury jewelry is highly desirable.

  • Willingness to travel internationally to suppliers and manufacturing partners.
