Your Purpose

The IT Specialist – Inventory and Operations role is responsible for the effective management of IT assets, procurement, inventory and logistics to ensure the availability and compliance of technology resources across the organisation. This position oversees the full lifecycle of IT equipment—from purchase order management and asset tracking through to deployment, maintenance and disposal, ensuring accurate inventory records and adherence to company procurement and financial policies. The role also coordinates the shipment and delivery of IT assets, conducts inventory audits, manages stock levels to support operational readiness and provides reporting and forecasting to support budget planning.

Your Impact

  • Purchase Order (PO) Management: Track the status of purchase orders for IT equipment, materials, and software in line with organizational budgets and approval processes.
    Asset Lifecycle Management: Manage IT assets from item coding through deployment, maintenance, and end-of-life disposal.
    Shipping & Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the shipment of IT assets, including (but not limited to) radios, satellite phones, laptops, mobile devices, network equipment, and peripherals. Monitor shipment status, delivery schedules, and receipt of equipment on board, ensuring all deliveries are accurately recorded and tracked.
    Inventory Control & Tracking: Maintain accurate records of all IT assets within the Asset Management System (AMS), ensuring inventory accuracy, traceability, and up-to-date asset registers.
    Inventory Audits & Spot Checks: Conduct regular spot checks of IT equipment on board and perform periodic inventory audits to verify asset records, investigate discrepancies, and ensure compliance with asset management procedures.
    Stock Management: Monitor stock levels of IT equipment and consumables, maintain agreed par levels, review inventory requirements, and coordinate replenishment to ensure operational readiness.
    Procurement Compliance: Ensure all purchases and asset movements comply with company financial policies, procurement procedures, and audit requirements.
    Reporting & Forecasting: Produce reports on asset condition, inventory levels, purchasing expenditure, and stock usage to support budget planning and forecasting.
    Quality Management System (QMS): Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) by creating, updating, and controlling quality documentation, including forms, templates, procedures, work instructions, and records.

Your Journey so far

  • Experience working in IT asset position previously, with good working knowledge of IT lifecycles
    • Willingness to conduct onboard visits to perform IT asset audits, inventory verification, equipment deployment and operational support.
    • Experience with procurement business processes and systems
    • Skilled in the use of Excel including Advanced functions. PowerBI experience is also required
    • Previous experience supporting budget planning/forecasting
    • Keen attention to detail, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Your Essentials

  • Full Right to work in Italy
    • Travel to vessels and company locations is required for approximately 30% of the role, including domestic and international travel as required (flexibility to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and public holidays to facilitate vessel schedules, port calls or operational requirements)


This opportunity offers a gross annual salary range of €35,000 to €40,000, depending on experience and relevant expertise, alongside a competitive package of additional benefits.
