Responsibilities

Now hiring for a Warehouse Associate at our Ballybrit, Galway, IE manufacturing plant.  The role involves supporting colleagues to maintain a positive work environment while delivering excellence to our customers.

 

You will be counted on for the following tasks:

  • Own safety in the warehouse as an individual & as part of a team.
  • Accept any training required by this role: Warehouse machinery, Manual Handling, etc. 
  • Understanding of departmental KPI’s.
  • Receiving all materials from external vendors as per internal procedures.
  • Issuing all raw material to the production floor promptly on daily basis as per internal procedures.
  • Completing and correcting movements within SAP and other inventory control systems.
  • Carry out daily cycle counts of raw materials in all warehouse areas and on the manufacturing floor, as created by Materials Supervisor, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Preparation and checking of all Finished Goods orders for transfer to Shipping as per internal procedures.
  • Support Production Cells by immediately attending to requirements of those cells.
  • Take part in team huddles ensuring timely updates on safety, inventory and any issues or suggestions.
  • Support Planning/ Purchasing team requests and communicate issues/ part shortages as they occur.
  • Complete all training requirements (both online courses and in house training) in timely manner and completion of any required documentation.
  • Support Plant wide programs including 6S, Recycling, and participate in audits where requested.
  • Support and participate in Continuous Improvement (CPI) activities within MSA Galway.
  • Drive performance and process improvements.

Qualifications

Education / Experience & Requirements

  • Leaving cert, 3rd level Education is an advantage (technical school or certificate)
  • Experience in a Warehousing or Manufacturing.
  • Very strong co-ordination, communication and planning skills
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently & as part of a team
  • A self- starter with a ‘hands on’ attitude and the ability to listen, learn & progress
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft programs including Word and Excel (basic level of usage)
  • Receiving, inventory counts for accuracy and cycle counting. 
  • Wearing Safety shoes and Safety glasses which are supplied by the plant.
  • Lifting 25 kilograms.

 

Desirables:

 

  • Any machinery driving experience (forklift, hand truck, wave picker) will train and obtain a certificate.
  • Manual Handling training / awareness.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP (basic knowledge and will train).
