Responsibilities
Purpose of Position (Summary)
Inside Sales drives commercial growth through proactive remote engagement with Channel Partners and End Users. The team acts as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, owning lead qualification, opportunity development, partner growth and commercial execution to accelerate revenue generation.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, MarCom and other cross-functional teams, Inside Sales qualifies and develops leads, supports strategic commercial initiatives including product launches, campaigns and partner programs, and ensures seamless coordination throughout the customer journey. By collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Technical Support, Tender Management and Customer Service, the team accelerates pipeline conversion, strengthens partner engagement and contributes to sustainable business growth
Account, Partner & Commercial Enablement
- Develop accounts, Channel Partners and End Users to identify and convert opportunities and contribute to joint revenue and growth objectives.
- Identify and develop cross-selling, up-selling, whitespace and competitor-conversion opportunities.
- Drive proactive account and partner engagement through follow-up, remote product training, digital tools and solution-focused product positioning.
- Progress opportunities and coordinate commercial actions across customer accounts, ensuring alignment with Field Sales where required.
- Monitor account and partner performance and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to drive commercial action.
- Drive commercial pricing activities, including Special Price Requests (SPR), pricing recommendations and commercial negotiations, in alignment with Sales.
- Manage the quotation lifecycle from preparation through proactive follow-up, ensuring ownership, responsiveness and maximizing conversion.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, opportunity visibility and forecasting to enable effective commercial decision-making.
Lead Qualification & Opportunity Management
- Drive pipeline generation through proactive outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification and targeted commercial campaigns.
- Own the qualification, development and progression of sales opportunities from initial lead through conversion or handover to Field Sales.
- Manage the complete opportunity lifecycle, ensuring proactive follow-up, accurate forecasting and maximum quote-to-order conversion.
Commercial Programs & Revenue Generation
- Drive adoption of strategic products, commercial programs and solution-based selling to accelerate revenue growth.
- Support the execution of strategic commercial programs including rebates, campaigns, product launches and partner enablement initiatives.
- Capture Voice of Customer (VOC) insights and translate feedback into proposed commercial improvement initiatives to increase partner engagement, digital adoption and incremental revenue.
- Champion commercial excellence by identifying process improvements and standardizing best practices.
Qualifications
Experience (required)
- 5+ years of experience in Inside Sales, Sales, Business Development or Account Management within a B2B environment.
- Experience working with Channel Partners, Distributors and/or End Users.
- Proven ability to qualify opportunities, manage pipelines and drive commercial growth, including experience with quotations, pricing and commercial negotiations.
- Strong customer relationship, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with Field Sales to jointly develop accounts, partners and end-user opportunities.
- Technical background or experience in industrial safety solutions, preferably Fixed Gas & Flame Detection, with the ability to understand and communicate technical solutions.
- Strong commercial, analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Fluent in English and Dutch, with a good understanding of Benelux market dynamics, business culture and customer expectations.
Experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of products, standards, and regulations of the safety industry
- Experience in an international or EMEA commercial environment
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and SAP.
- Experience with Salesforce, SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Additional European language(s)
Education (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
