Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, sewing machines, equipment, and all facility systems ensuring proper and safe operation.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
  • Maintain and repair facility infrastructure and equipment.
  • Perform setups and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Respond promptly to inoperable production and facility equipment and report any potentially hazardous situations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrade of machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and potential failures, ensuring timely intervention.
  • Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
  • Utilize and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe secure work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing efficiency-enhancing solutions.
  • Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial maintenance and knowledge in:
    • Electrical systems
    • Industrial controls/PLC’s
    • Pneumatics and hydraulics
    • Technical drawing’s
    • Mechanical systems
    • Facility systems
    • Machine shop equipment (lathe and mill)
    • Sewing machine repairs
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members across all levels of the organization.
