Now Hiring for a CNC Machine Maintenance Technician at our Murrysville, PA manufacturing Plant .  This role is to ensure continuous operation of machinery and mechanical equipment within the Machine Shop and Tool Room. 

 

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical and CNC machinery.  This position requires hands on work of complex machinery and equipment.  You will be focus on critical maintenance and preventative maintenance of machinery as well as developing and maintaining the preventative maintenance program and asset strategies for the Machine Shop and Tool Room. 

 

You will Install and repair electrical components/systems, servos systems, transformers and wiring of machinery and equipment. Communicate with vendors and OEM’s personnel for troubleshooting, replacement parts or to schedule on-site technical support. Although no direct reports, this position is intended to be a part of the Machine Shop and Tool Room leadership team.

 

Primary responsibilities are as follows:

  • Responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and CNC machinery including mills, lathes, etc.
  • Implement and oversee periodic maintenance program of all mechanical and CNC machinery in Machine Shop and Tool Room.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems with mechanical and CNC machinery and propose appropriate course of action for repair, replacement or disposition. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve machine shop efficiency and sustainability through process optimization and technology upgrades.

Qualifications

Experience

 

Required

  • 5+ years of work experience in mechanical maintenance, preferrable in production environment.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC lathe and milling machine, as well as other mechanical equipment is essential.
  • Ability to read and analyze mechanical assembly drawings and blueprints.
  • Intermediate knowledge of parametric programming and ladder logic.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc based controller and software.
  • Intermediate computer skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with new capital equipment installations and repairs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Background in G/M Code Programming.

Education

 

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

  • Machine and Manufacturing Degree / Certificate.
