Finance Analyst
About this role
Overview
- Support the finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting and analysis
- Contribute to financial planning and performance tracking activities
- Assist in enhancing financial processes and reporting efficiency
- Financial Reporting & Control
- Assist in the month-end closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Support preparation of management accounts, P&L, and balance sheet reporting
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation analysis and follow up on outstanding items
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial procedures
- FP&A, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support preparation of annual budgets and regular forecasts
- Assist in variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Support financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting activities
- Provide support in cashflow monitoring and forecasting
- Financial Analysis & Business Support
- Assist in preparing monthly reporting packs and performance analysis
- Analyse financial data to provide insights on business performance and cost trends
- Support ad-hoc analysis for projects, cost tracking, and business initiatives
- Work closely with business teams to ensure accuracy of financial information
- Finance Operations
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and tracking
- Assist in vendor payment coordination and expense monitoring
- Support financial data validation and GL coding
- Provide internal finance system support to all HK employees
- Liaise with procurement team on new vendor onboarding
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and shared service teams where required
- Work closely with the Senior Finance Manager and broader finance team
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations and business teams
- Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and financial policies
- Support audit processes and documentation requirements
- Maintain high standards of financial data accuracy and integrity
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or finance-related roles
- Preferably CPA / ACCA candidate or qualified
- Exposure to:
- Financial reporting / management accounts
- FP&A / budgeting / forecasting (preferred)
- Strong Excel skills (data analysis, basic modelling)
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical mindset
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Fluency in Cantonese and English is required
