Job DetailsJob Location: Willamette Pass - Crescent Lake Jct, OR 97733Position Type: SeasonalThe Vehicle Maintenance Assistant position works with the Vehicle Maintenance Manager to ensure the vehicles and mechanical equipment that keep the ski slopes and trails available to use all winter long are impeccably maintained. This role is a part-time position for the winter of 2026/2027 season. Anticipated start date is in November.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assists with maintenance inspections and resulting repairs on the fleet including trucks, vans, snow removal equipment, transportation equipment and snowcats.
Maintain accurate and precise recording of daily activities on work orders, indirect labor logs, and parts requisitions.
Safely drive company vehicles/equipment with automatic, standard, hydrostatic, or powershift transmissions.
Assist the entire mountain operations with any tasks, as needed and assigned.

QualificationsOther Responsibilities

Consistently collaborate with all mountain operations departments to contribute to mountain-wide communication and safety.
Stay positive, focused, and constructive when faced with setbacks, challenges, and while working in an ever-changing environment
Ensure compliance with OSHA and other laws governing personnel environment and equipment safety for the purpose of ensuring safety in the workplace.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of heavy equipment/diesel mechanics.
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical tools and equipment
Ability to perform in inclement weather conditions and terrain for sustained periods.
Able to work a flexible schedule, any hours of the day, any days of the week.

Experience/Qualifications

At least one year of vehicle maintenance field experience is a plus
A valid, current, unrestricted driver’s license is required.
