The Grooming Manager helps lead the team that ensures the ski slopes and trails are impeccably maintained, providing a safe and enjoyable skiing experience for guests of all skill levels. This role is perfect for someone who has a genuine passion for enhancing guest experiences in a winter sports setting and is looking to take the next step in their ski industry career.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain ski slopes and trails assiduously to ensure a safe, smooth, and enjoyable skiing experience for all guests.
Operate and handle heavy machinery, including but not limited to snowcats and snowmobiles, for the purpose of slope preparation and maintenance.
Assist with resort events, such as races or other gatherings, ensuring courses are properly prepared, safe, and meet the specific requirements of each event.
Assist with snowmaking operations.
Perform regular checks and basic maintenance on grooming equipment to ensure their functionality and longevity, addressing any minor issues or malfunctions promptly.
Exhibit resilience to work in varying weather conditions, often harsh, and during late-night hours.
Assist in snow removal in parking lots and driveways as necessary.
Actively participate in regular safety briefings and trainings, staying updated with the latest best practices to mitigate any potential hazards.
Collaborate proactively with other team members to improve the overall guest experience, including communicating with management teams about current conditions to ensure a unified response to changing circumstances.

Ensure compliance with OSHA and other laws governing personnel environment and equipment safety for the purpose of ensuring safety in the workplace.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical tools and equipment.
Ability to perform in inclement weather conditions and terrain for sustained periods.
Able to work a flexible schedule, primarily swing or night shift, any days of the week.
Experience/Qualifications
At least three years of ski resort grooming experience is preferred, but not required.
At least one year of experience in a leadership or team-building role is preferred.
A valid, current, unrestricted driver’s license is required.
