Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of custodial services in coordination with the department management team, with an emphasis on teamwork and successful daily team operations.
Effectively supervise and provide guidance and support to the custodial team with an on-the-floor and hands-on approach.
Successfully perform all daily custodial duties, including trash disposal, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and other duties as assigned.
Maintain the cleanliness of all public and employee locations, and schedule custodial services in these areas with minimal disruption to regular operations.
Assign custodial duties to staff and regularly inspect their work to ensure that industry standards and company values are met.
Effectively communicate emergencies with the Facilities Manager and resolve situations as requested.
Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to staff and replenish inventories, as needed.
Assist the Parking department with any duties as assigned or requested.
Other Responsibilities
Maintain customer contact in a friendly and courteous manner.
Contribute to a professional workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness.
Follow all company and department policies and procedures, and attendance and punctuality requirements.
Wear uniform and nametag daily, and meet all other company and department requirements for appearance.
Assist in any other department or with any other duties, as assigned or needed.
Occasionally lift, push or pull 50 lbs. individually or with assistance.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of custodial and ski area safety processes and procedures.
Knowledge of common chemicals and their nature, hazards, safety, and health issues.
Ability to provide leadership to a large-scale team.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and co-workers.
Ability to read, understand, and comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Experience/Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be available to work at least 4 days per week, including holidays and weekends.
Working Environment/ Physical Activities
Ability to regularly work in adverse weather conditions.
Ability to frequently walk on slippery, icy, and uneven surfaces.
This position often requires reaching, crouching, standing, kneeling, and bending for extended periods of time.
