About this role

The Stitchers primary objective is to accurately and efficiently sew projects with the highest level of quality, which meet internal and external deadlines. Must be able to work well in a fast paced, high demand, high pressured environment.

Hourly Rate of Pay:

$19.00-$26.00 DOE

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 6:30 am -3:00 pm, Over Time and Weekends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Able to sit or stand 8 to 10 hours per day

· Able to read instructions, rulers, spot flaws and color shade differences

· Able to push, pull, pinch, climb on and off tables and lift 50 lbs

· Able to read, write and speak in English

· Able to accurately read and use rulers with 1/16” accuracy. Able to use squares

· Knows basic math to include fractions, percentages, decimals, diameters, radii

· Able to sew basic items and patterns

· Knows and applies the CIP, Lean techniques and Sustainability principles

· Participates in continuous improvement teams, or develops ideas and improves processes

to enhance the company's results

· Cuts and sews projects accurately

· Reads and follows sewing instructions and manufacturing procedures

· Checks work before passing it to the next step in the process

Well versed in technical/functional areas and knowledgeable in appropriate practices and techniques

· Demonstrates efficiency with technical skills to include (stitching, machining, customer service, computers, etc.)

· Reads and understands work orders, cut sheets, CAD drawings and written instructions

· Accurately measures, cuts and sews all Moss fabrics and materials

· Knows fabrication standards and how to apply them

· Can use all machines on the Stitching floor efficiently

· Perform basic sewing machine maintenance to include tension adjustment, machine threading, needle and bobbin changing, stitch length adjustment and oiling.

· Use cut-sheets to accurately cut out printed graphics. Able to match graphics when sewing

· Accurately allocates Raw Materials before removing them from the storage location

· Meets deadlines and complete assignments in a timely and productive manner while maintaining high standards for quality

· Cleans and organizes work areas after each task. Returns tools and raw materials to their proper locations

· Self-motivated and able to work well independently

· Willing to participate in cross training

· Speaks and writes clearly using appropriate grammar. Good verbal and written communication to clearly communicate with team members

· Promptly communicates setbacks to the Stitching Lead/Supervisor

· Complies with all personnel, departmental and safety policies including eye protection and machine guarding

· Ability to work at a fast pace, under pressure, and multi-task during periods of high stress

· Available for, and willing to work overtime on short notice

· High school graduate or the equivalent

· Basic knowledge of hand and power tools

· Able to work independently and in a team environment
