Defense Materials | Inventory Control

Manassas, VA

Pay Estimated: $25.35-$28.98/Hour

We are hiring a Stock & Receiving Associate to support defense materials management, warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment in a DoD classified environment. This role requires an active Secret security clearance, experience with MRP and receiving systems, material receiving and inventory control processes, Government Customer Property Control, and the ability to handle classified materials.

 

The Stock & Receiving Associate will perform physical and administrative activities related to receiving, inspecting, storing, distributing, and fulfilling orders for materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. This position maintains accurate stockroom and inventory records, processes system transactions, researches material shortages, and supports efficient material flow and continuous improvement initiatives.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, store, stock, distribute, and fulfill orders for materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Complete receiving, issue, and inventory paperwork and system transactions accurately.
  • Maintain accurate stockroom, inventory, material, and system data.
  • Research material shortages, discrepancies, and inventory issues and support problem resolution.
  • Support material receiving, control, and inventory management processes.
  • Maintain compliance with Government Customer Property Control requirements.
  • Handle and process classified materials in accordance with applicable security requirements.
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across receiving, stockroom, and inventory operations.
  • Identify opportunities to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve processes, efficiency, and innovation.

 

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related stockroom, receiving, warehouse, materials, or inventory experience.
  • Computer proficiency with enterprise software tools, including MRP and receiving systems, and associated inventory/material data.
  • Knowledge of material receiving, material control, stockroom, and inventory management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Government Customer Property Control requirements.
  • Ability to handle and process classified materials.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items and operate a forklift or other powered industrial vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in the assigned area, if applicable.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience identifying or implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications for process improvement and operational innovation.
