We are hiring a Senior Manufacturing Operations Technician to support advanced manufacturing operations by performing systems integration, preventive maintenance, technical documentation, process improvement, and manufacturing support in a high-technology production environment. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to maintain manufacturing documentation, interpret engineering drawings, support equipment operations, and improve production processes while ensuring manufacturing accuracy and efficiency.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manufacturing systems integration activities utilizing mechanical and/or electrical aptitude to support production operations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to maximize system reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications to support manufacturing processes.
  • Review engineering documentation and coordinate updates to the engineering configuration database when design changes occur.
  • Develop, maintain, revise, and control manufacturing work instructions within electronic work instruction and reporting systems.
  • Create, edit, and maintain engineering documentation, including:
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Manufacturing process documentation
    • Technical manuals
    • Test procedures and test reports
    • Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
    • Engineering specifications
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Implement documentation standards, version control practices, and formatting consistency across engineering documentation.
  • Conduct research and update documentation to reflect engineering changes, manufacturing process improvements, equipment modifications, and evolving technical standards.
  • Troubleshoot documentation issues and recommend process improvements that enhance manufacturing efficiency and document quality.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, documentation workflows, and operational performance.
  • Apply emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to improve documentation processes and manufacturing operations where appropriate.

 

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience supporting manufacturing operations, production, engineering, or technical documentation.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Experience developing, editing, and maintaining manufacturing and engineering documentation.
  • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), technical manuals, process documentation, and test procedures.
  • Experience using electronic work instruction systems, document management systems, or manufacturing reporting systems.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of documentation standards, document control, revision management, and version control processes.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude with the ability to support manufacturing systems and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting systems integration within manufacturing or production environments.
  • Experience maintaining engineering configuration databases.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process optimization and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience working in highly regulated manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defense, electronics, or medical device manufacturing.
  • Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve documentation quality, workflow efficiency, or manufacturing processes.
