We are seeking a Retail Sales Specialist to support customer service, retail sales, inventory management, and daily store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, processing point-of-sale (POS) transactions, managing inventory and merchandise flow, supporting visual merchandising standards, and helping achieve retail sales goals while maintaining operational excellence.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience for employees, visitors, and stakeholders.
  • Process point-of-sale (POS) transactions, cash handling activities, customer purchases, returns, and exchanges.
  • Open and close the store in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Receive, process, and organize incoming and outgoing merchandise shipments.
  • Monitor inventory levels, maintain stock accuracy, and support inventory control activities.
  • Process merchandise transfers, markdowns, Mark Out of Stock (MOS), and Return to Vendor (RTV) transactions.
  • Complete inventory documentation and coordinate inter-store merchandise transfers.
  • Prepare for and support annual physical inventory counts and inventory audits.
  • Execute merchandising floor sets and maintain visual merchandising standards.
  • Organize and maintain stockroom inventory, storage areas, and merchandise presentation.
  • Process customer merchandise orders and special requests.
  • Coordinate store maintenance needs and communicate facility-related issues.
  • Respond to customer and stakeholder inquiries via email and other communication channels.
  • Identify, report, and help resolve safety, housekeeping, and operational concerns.
  • Restock merchandise and maintain store appearance, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Escalate customer concerns and complaints to store management as appropriate.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, vocational training, Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of retail sales, customer service, retail operations, or related experience.
  • Experience operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash control procedures.
  • Experience with inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandise receiving, shipping, and retail operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively.
  • Ability to work onsite and perform daily retail store operational duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting retail sales goals and performance metrics.
  • Experience with inventory counts, merchandising resets, stockroom operations, and inventory audits.
  • Experience processing merchandise transfers, markdowns, MOS, and RTV transactions.
  • Experience supporting specialty retail, corporate retail, gift shop, company store, or branded merchandise environments.
