2nd Shift Opportunity
We are hiring an Engineering Technician – Electronics & Electromechanical Systems to support engineering design, testing, troubleshooting, fabrication, and maintenance of prototype electronic and electromechanical systems. This role is ideal for candidates with experience supporting engineering laboratories, test equipment, calibration, and prototype development while contributing to process improvements and technical solutions in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support engineering activities including the design, testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, electronic circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment.
- Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain electronic and electromechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
- Construct, calibrate, align, diagnose, and adjust engineering equipment, components, and laboratory systems.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks to ensure equipment accuracy and reliability.
- Prepare prescribed compounds and laboratory solutions in accordance with established procedures.
- Construct, modify, debug, test, and adjust tools, fixtures, and equipment using engineering drawings, parts, and work instructions.
- Fabricate simple hardware and prototype components as required.
- Conduct engineering experiments and document results under the guidance of senior engineering personnel.
- Organize and analyze technical data to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous process improvement.
- Develop basic tooling and fixtures to support specialized engineering and laboratory tasks.
- Assist with engineering laboratory operations and technical research activities.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Associate's degree in a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting engineering, laboratory, manufacturing, or technical operations.
- Working knowledge of electronic and electromechanical systems, equipment, and test processes.
- Experience using hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and electronic test equipment.
- Ability to fabricate, assemble, troubleshoot, repair, and modify technical hardware and equipment.
- Familiarity with calibration, alignment, testing, and equipment maintenance procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience operating engineering test equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, parts lists, and technical instructions.
- May require a First Class FCC License and Solder Repair Certification.
