We are hiring an Engineering Technician to support the design, testing, troubleshooting, fabrication, and maintenance of electronic and electro-mechanical systems in a laboratory and engineering environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in electronics testing, prototype assembly, calibration, troubleshooting to the component level, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), and engineering test equipment who are looking to support advanced technology development.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering activities involving the design, testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, electronic circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment.
  • Build, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and test electronic and electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
  • Perform equipment calibration, alignment, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and functional testing.
  • Construct, modify, debug, and adjust tools, fixtures, and equipment using engineering drawings, specifications, parts, and work instructions.
  • Fabricate simple hardware and prototype components as required.
  • Prepare compounds and laboratory solutions in accordance with engineering procedures.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments under the direction of senior engineering staff and accurately document results.
  • Organize and analyze test data to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous process improvements.
  • Develop basic tooling and fixtures to support specialized engineering and manufacturing tasks.
  • Utilize digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, and other advanced electronic test equipment to perform troubleshooting to the component level.
  • Support engineering laboratory operations while maintaining quality and safety standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience supporting engineering, electronics, laboratory, or electro-mechanical environments.
  • Fundamental knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical systems, components, and engineering test processes.
  • Experience using electronic test equipment including digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, and related diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic assemblies and circuits to the component level.
  • Experience fabricating, assembling, modifying, and repairing electronic or electro-mechanical hardware.
  • Working knowledge of calibration, testing, diagnostics, and equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with engineering laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical instructions.
  • Ability to fabricate simple hardware and assist with prototype development.
  • First Class FCC License and/or Solder Repair Certification may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military electronics, avionics, or technical maintenance experience.
  • Experience supporting prototype development, engineering laboratories, or research and development environments.
