Essential duties and responsibilities
As the IT Field Tech, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for all IT systems and equipment within a market or multiple markets. This role includes troubleshooting, installations, and preventative maintenance to ensure IT systems and equipment remain operational and secure.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys working in the field, traveling regularly, and supporting technology infrastructure in an active, multi-site environment.
Systems Administration & Support
Responsible for IT maintenance and completion of service requests.
Preventative maintenance on IT equipment and systems.
Documentation of service, preventative maintenance, and corporate credit card expenditures.
Troubleshoot technological, software, and hardware issues as reported by on-site staff.
Repair or replace defective components and parts.
Monitor system performance and security to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
Install and test new equipment.
Assist with new site builds, including pulling network cables and mounting hardware such as servers, switches, and routers.
Communicate effectively with on-site staff to understand their needs and address concerns.
Adhere to all safety guidelines.
Part sourcing and ordering.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree in IT or related field preferred
2-4 years of IT experience
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills
Ability to use power tools as needed
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software and networking technologies
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Ability to lift 20 pounds consistently and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
Ability to work in various temperature conditions.
Must wear safety equipment when required.
On call availability for emergencies.
Ability to work weekends as needed.
Willingness to travel to multiple sites per day.
