FP&A Analyst

About this role

MOO brings brands to life in a sustainable way, with a range of remarkable print and merchandise products. We combine design, technology, manufacturing and service, so that people can connect in memorable ways. Not online but out there, in real life.

We started in 2004. Since then we’ve built an award-winning and much-loved brand, with customer satisfaction and Trustpilot ratings that make most businesses want to give up and hire an army of review bots. We’ve got half a million customers, mostly small and medium businesses in North America, the UK, and Europe – businesses that, like us, get all excited about putting something real and beautiful into people’s hands. Does that make us nerds? Probably, and we’re ok with that.

We’ve been given the highest business award in Britain, ‘The Queen’s Award for Enterprise’. Backed by venture capital, we’re part of Tech Nation’s ‘Future Fifty’, recently passing $1bn in lifetime revenue, and featuring in the Guardian’s top 10 UK start-ups list. Ok, we’ll stop bragging now.

Today, we’re more than 400 people with our global HQ in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you’ll find us in Boston, MA, as well as East Providence, RI and Denver, CO and with our most recent office expansion in Cape Town South Africa.

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team at MOO is at the heart of our financial decision-making, providing strategic insights that drive growth and performance. This role sits within a team of four, reporting into the Head of FP&A.

We’re looking for an FP&A Analyst who’s passionate about turning numbers into insight and insight into impact. This is a highly business-facing role, working closely with teams across the organisation to support decision-making and drive performance.

You’ll play a key role in keeping our forecasts and financial models up to date, ensuring they reflect the latest thinking in a fast-moving business. You’ll bring clarity to performance, helping teams understand what’s really driving the numbers and what that means for the business.

\nThe Person We Want
You’re a curious, analytical finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You enjoy digging into the numbers, spotting trends, and helping others understand what’s really going on.
You’re confident working with data but just as comfortable working with non-financial teams. You know how to explain financial insights clearly and in a way that lands. A background in financial planning and analysis, along with business partnering experience, will set you up for success.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the finance business partner to the People team and allocated G&A functions, supporting budget holders with financial insight and decision making.
  • Maintain detailed headcount models and workforce forecasts, working closely with the People Team to ensure hiring plans and organisational changes are accurately reflected in financial plans.
  • Lead the monthly cost reporting process for allocated business functions, providing insightful variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year, highlighting key drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Manage the tracking and reporting of capital expenditure for allocated business functions, ensuring investment spend is accurately forecast and monitored.
  • Support the annual budget and forecasting process for allocated business functions, working with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning, reporting and forecasting processes, leveraging automation and new technologies to increase efficiency and insight.
  • Support on ad hoc financial analysis, investment appraisals and business cases to support decision-making across the business.
  • Prepare financial reporting and materials for senior leadership and Board meetings, ensuring information is accurate, clear and supports effective decision-making.
About You
  • A newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or in the final stages of a professional accounting qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience building and maintaining integrated financial models
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain the story behind the numbers clearly and confidently to non-financial stakeholders
  • Proactive and curious, with a questioning mindset — comfortable challenging assumptions, spotting opportunities, and helping teams make better decisions
  • Proficient in Google Workspace tools
Nice To Have's
  • Familiarity with Tableau or other analytical tools
  • Familiarity with NetSuite
  • Prior experience in e-commerce, manufacturing, or other high-growth, product-based industries
