SHE Coordinator
About this role
- Coordinate emergency response activities and support the site Emergency Response Team
- Lead and coordinate monthly safety inspections, audits, and corrective actions
- Support emergency preparedness including evacuation drills and rescue planning
- Partner with operations to maintain strong safety presence in the field
- Support incident investigations including root cause analysis and follow-up actions
- Coordinate contractor safety compliance and communicate non-conformances
- Manage fire protection equipment inspections, maintenance, and related records
- Develop and deliver safety training modules; evaluate effectiveness and improve content
- Support site security processes including access control coordination
- Manage hazardous waste handling, storage, and shipments in compliance with regulations
- Complete and submit environmental and hazardous waste reporting requirements
- Conduct routine inspections of safety systems, equipment, and environmental controls
- Support development and implementation of site safety, emergency, and security procedures
- Manage the occupational medical surveillance program and external provider relationships

- 3+ years of experience in safety, health, and environmental roles within a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of OSHA, environmental regulations, and safety best practices
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
- Confident communicator with solid presentation and training skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, or related field preferred
- Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, RCRA, DOT) are a plus
- Willingness to obtain Incident Commander, HAZMAT, and DOT transporter qualifications within 12 months
