Quality Manager
About this role
- Collaborates with stakeholders across all stages of the manufacturing process; communicates effectively at all levels
- Handles customer complaints, project updates, returns, and credits; leads corrective action initiatives
- Partners with production staff to ensure compliance with quality protocols, maintain documentation, and implement process improvements
- Builds strong relationships with external partners, including suppliers and customers
- Serves as SQF practitioner and HACCP coordinator for the facility
- Ensures final products meet safety and quality standards while optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Establishes testing protocols and acceptable parameters to maintain quality throughout production
- Applies creative problem-solving under pressure; analyzes data and draws valid conclusions
- Leads quality improvement projects and manages materials on quality hold; provides training on regulations and best practices
- Responds proactively to issues and manages urgent situations professionally
- Interprets technical instructions and resolves complex problems involving abstract and concrete variables
- Identifies root causes and implements effective solutions to maintain standards

- 2+ years supervisory experience
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required; food converting or packing preferred
- Must have completed the HACCP course and have SQF practitioner training
- Attention to detail, emphasizing excellence and innovation and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- SAP and ADP knowledge preferred
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, production or manufacturing disciplines preferred
- Previous Continuous Improvement/Lean management experience preferred
- Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 25 lbs
