Eastman - Palletizer Operator
About this role
- Operate pallet inverter, automatic palletizer safely. Check inventory, locations, WIP and production schedule to accurately retrieve material from the job packet pick lists.
- Safely move material to and from storage, machines and finished goods areas.
- Operate forklift to transport materials to and from storate areas, workstations, and within other areas of assignment..
- Load, transport, unload and stack materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform housekeeping duties in work area, including sweeping, mopping, picking up, and disposing of trash.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
- Communicate non-compliance and/or quality problems to supervisor.
- Ability to read and understand material labels and work orders.
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with safety rules and requirements.
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with forklift training.

- Valid U.S. Driver’s license required
- Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Work schedules are normally 8 or 12 hours
- May be scheduled for rotating days off
- Must be able to work any scheduled times, including overnight and weekend shifts
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, including extra hours on short notice
- Standing for extended periods
- Must be able to complete assigned task during shift and meet reasonable expectations
- Awkward and/or repetitive movements
- Climbing ladders and/or stairways
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. repeatedly and up to 50 lbs. frequently for up to 12 hours
- Reading computer screen or other electronic devices
- Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment
- Work in areas of fluctuating temperature
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to steel toe shoes, earplugs, safety glasses, hairnet and beard net, if applicable)
- Ability to use hand truck, drum dolly, and electric pallet jack as needed
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts
